About the program

The Church Protection Specialist Certification (CPS) program is designed to meet the immediate security needs for any ministry, large or small. The program includes three comprehensive critical skills training modules. We understand that security ministries have limited resources and time, and this shouldn’t preclude your team from receiving the knowledge and skills required to protect your house of worship, private Christian school, camp/retreat, or outreach ministry.

Certification

Students that successfully complete the three critical skill’s modules will receive a certificate of completion and certification as a Church Protection Specialist (CPS). CPS graduates will also receive a lapel pin that signifies your skills in physical protection.

Recertification

Recertification for the CPS designation requires testing and evaluation every two years in the following subjects: (1) Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), (2) Citizen Rescuer certification, and (3) handgun carry procedures
